“Kusalassa Upasampada” National Program for Training of New Upasampada Monks The second phase of the 'Kusalassa Upasampada' National Training Program for Novice and Upasampada Monks, organized jointly by the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs and the Department of Buddhist Affairs, commenced on 06.02.2022. Held at Pannipitiya Devram Maha Viharaya from 06.02.2022 to 13.12.2022. Under this 7-day training, the Upasampada of the new Upasampada monks and the Satara Parajika, lay clergy affiliation, Pratimoksha Shiksha and Sanghadisesa cleansing from disasters, Vows and Katina Chivara Pooja, Uposatha Karma, Study of Sutras, Awareness on Temples and Shrines Act, Special topics such as temple tours and temple management, media usage and communication techniques, poetry and stanza training, sermon training, disciplined chiwara and bowl preparation, weekly meditation are discussed.
